2005 Madonna Gewurztraminer, Ciccone Vineyards

Watch out, Marilyn Merlot! You've got company.

Michigan native Madonna is commemorated in assorted  poses and outfits on the labels of a series of five wines put out by her father, Tony, at his Ciccone Vineyards in the Leelanau Peninsula.

Designed to be collectibles, the labels are individually numbered and autographed by Madonna and Tony Ciccone. The artwork comes from the cover of Madonna's 2005 "Confessions" album.

The wines, all 2005 vintage, include a Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio Ambrato, Gewurztramiiner, and Pinot Noir.  Each varietal label showcases Madonna in a different pose.

The wine sells for $40 a bottle. A matching poster featuring all five labels is available for $10.

The project was developed in collaboration with family friend John Russo, of the G.B. Russo & Son food store in Grand Rapids. The wines are available from G.B. Russo and the winery's website.
