Introduction

MichWine respects each individual’s right to personal privacy on the Internet. We collect and use information through our web site only in the ways disclosed in this statement. This statement applies solely to information collected at MichWine's web site.

Part I. Information Collection and Security

MichWine's web site only collects personally identifiable information that you choose to provide us. Such information may include user-submitted registrations, comments, questions, forum posts, news and events, photos, private messages and web links. The information is collected by the voluntary submission of such by users.

MichWine's web site uses "cookies". A cookie is a small text file that our web server places on a user’s computer hard drive to be a unique identifier. For COPPA compliance (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), MichWine asserts that its web site contains nothing designed, displayed or formatted to attract, influence, interest or solicit anyone under the age of eighteen.

The information MichWine collects is used for the purposes of this web site only. Registered users may receive announcements from us about site news, events, private messages, forum posts and web site updates. Out of respect for the privacy of our registered users, we offer the option not to receive these communications by simply replying to any email communication with the word "Remove" in the subject line.

The MichWine web site offers links to other web sites. When you click on a link to another web site, we encourage you to read their privacy policies. Their standards may differ from ours.

Because our web site offers forums, comments, event calendars and other options for publishing user-submitted content, please be advised that any information users post or submit in these venues becomes public knowledge.

We reserve the right to update our web site privacy policy without notice. We reserve the right to remove user-submitted content with or without user consent or notice. We also reserve the right to add or remove site features without notice.

Part III. Access to Information

MichWine maintains the accuracy of our web site's information with regular updates. Registered users may access their own personal information and contact us about inaccuracies they may find by using the Contact Us link or by logging into the web site and clicking the Your Details link on the User Menu.

Registered users who wish to delete their registration and all accompanying information from our database should notify us by using the Contact Us link.
